The Travesera as a testing ground
They are manufactured entirely in Spain and developed in competition. Each year we take them to La Travesera, in Picos de Europa, 74 kilometers with an accumulated elevation gain of over 13,000 meters. What doesn't withstand that, doesn't make it to production. That's the standard we work with.

Mooquer trail running socks are born of a long-standing obsession. Over five prototypes and two years of work alongside professional runners and ultrarunners to find the version we no longer wanted to change. This is not a sock for someone who runs occasionally. This is for someone who measures elevation gain in thousands of meters and knows that the failing detail always appears in the final part of the race.
Impact-resistant toe cap
The toe cap has a reinforcement that wraps around the toes to the top. Mile after mile, your toe hits the shoe on every downhill, and that accumulated impact is the origin of pain and black toenails. The reinforcement cushions that contact and helps reduce that wear and tear. Inside the toe cap, we insert a high-resistance seam, the POL 40, which extends the life of the sock far beyond what is usual in its category.
Fit, breathability, and protection
The mesh instep promotes breathability where the foot sweats most. An upper front tongue improves the fit and protects the shin area. Reinforcements extend through the heel and the upper part of the Achilles tendon, two of the areas that suffer most on technical terrain and long descents.
Chitin in the sole of the foot
The real difference is underfoot. We incorporate chitin fiber into the sole, a natural polymer found in the exoskeletons of crustaceans, biodegradable and biocompatible. It is a noble material, uncommon in sports footwear, chosen for what it provides to the touch and the feeling of use throughout a long day in the mountains. A material decision consistent with how we understand the product: a few well-thought-out garments, made to last.
