What glasses do I need for cycling, running or trail?

For outdoor sport you need glasses that hold well on the move, protect from sun and wind and don't shift under the helmet or cap. Shield-style sports glasses cover more field of vision than normal glasses and stay stable in the repeated motion of pedalling or running. Mooquer's work equally for road, mountain, tarmac or trail. What changes from one outing to another isn't the frame, it's the lens.

How do I choose the lens for the light?

The lens is chosen by its category, which measures how much light it lets through. A clear lens or category 0 is for night, fog or rain. A category 2, like amber lenses, is for medium light and days with clouds and sunny spells, which is the most common for most of the year. A category 3 is for strong summer sun. If you'll only have one pair, a category 2 lens is the most versatile. All the frames carry UV400 protection, which blocks one hundred per cent of ultraviolet rays whatever the lens tint.

Do the same glasses work for cycling and running?

Yes. A good shield-style sports glass works the same on the bike and running, because what matters is the hold, the ventilation and the protection, not the discipline. The difference is made by the lens according to the day's light, not whether you're on wheels or on foot. That's why the same glasses work for riding on the road, for a tarmac run or for an outing on the trails.
