What does a complete cycling kit include?

A cycling kit is built in layers. The base is the jersey and the bib shorts with chamois; on top of that you add a vest, jacket, gloves and socks depending on the temperature and the discipline. At Mooquer each category is developed separately so you can combine garments without losing coherence: bib shorts with distance-specific chamois, mid-to-high cuff socks knitted in Spain, and outer layers that fit in your jersey pocket.

Why is cycling clothing tight-fitting?

Cycling clothing is close-fitting for three specific reasons: it improves aerodynamics at speed, prevents chafing by removing excess fabric, and speeds up sweat evacuation by keeping the material against the skin. It's not about looks, it's function. A jersey flapping in the wind slows you down, and bib shorts that move around chafe you over long distances.

How to dress for a ride according to the temperature?

In summer, a breathable jersey and light bib shorts are enough. In the shoulder seasons, the key is a vest or a light jacket that warms the torso without overheating the legs. In winter you add a thermal jacket, long gloves and thermal socks. The usual mistake is overdressing: in cycling you set off slightly cold, because the body warms up in the first few minutes.
